On August 17 with gates opening at 4:30pm, the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce hosts their largest annual fund raising event, the Jaffrey Festival of Fireworks. The festival is a family-friendly event that began in 1990. On the third Saturday in August, the skies over Jaffrey light up with a world-class fireworks display, which is choreographed to music by our very own international award winning company Atlas PyroVision, based in Jaffrey, New Hampshire, since 1949.
Music is provided by Sowa Entertainment. You can also enjoy a rock climbing wall plus a variety of game and food vendors. Over the years, the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce has contributed financially to a variety of projects, including the Rails to Trails, the Jaffrey welcome signs, safety equipment for our police, fire and ambulance departments and the Jaffrey Welcome Center as well as many other community improvement projects.
The fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9:30 p.m. at Jaffrey Airfield Silver Ranch, 190 Turnpike Rd. in Jaffrey, NH with viewing from the athletic fields of Spaulding High School. The public is invited to attend the festival and bring blankets or lawn chairs to relax while viewing. Or for visitors who may not have brought outdoor seating equipment and who don’t want to “borrow” a sheet off your hotel room bed, you can enjoy them from the comfort of your car.
Cost is $8-$375 depending on group size and vehicle. You can get more information at 603-532-4549 or check their website.
