The Currier Museum of Art is considered one of the finest small art museums in the country. Its vast permanent collection includes European and American paintings, decorative arts, photographs and sculpture, including works by Picasso, Monet, O’Keeffe, Wyeth, and LeWitt with exhibitions, tours, and programs year-round. The museum also offers tours of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Zimmerman House (see its own listing).  The Currier Museum Art Center also offers studio workshops and classes for children and adults, way too numerous and changing to list here, so please go to their website for all of that.

Hours:  Sunday, Monday, Wednesday-Friday 11am-5pm, Saturday 10am-5pm (free admission to New Hampshire residents 10 am-noon on Saturdays).  Open the first Thursday of each month 11 a.m.-9 p.m.  Holiday hours:  Closed New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day (4th of July), Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.  Close at 3pm Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.  Open (unless it falls on a Tuesday): Memorial Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Admission:  Adult $12, Senior $10 (65+), Student $9, Youth $5 (13-17), Members and Children under 13 free.  All active and veteran military members and their families receive free general admission throughout the year at the Currier.
