An all-encompassing children’s museum with many hands-on exhibits, programs and project based learning scenarios including problem solving, creative and real world situations, plus special events. Founded in 1983 originally in Portsmouth, it was moved to nearby Dover in 2008, remaining NH’s most visited children’s museum. Map marker has location and directions.
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 5 pm, Sunday 12 – 5 pm
Closed Mondays during school year except for school vacation weeks and selected holidays. Open 7 days a week during the summer.
Admission Prices (as of 9/17/11)
$9 – adults & children over 1 year of age
$8 – seniors age 65+
No charge for museum members and children under age 1.
Strollers are not permitted inside the Museum but backpacks and an infant front carrier are available at the front desk for parents to use on a complimentary first-come, first-served basis.
